Thomas C. Newlin II—who goes by TC— was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2001. After two years of performing real estate appraisals at Newlin-Johnson Company, he decided to pursue a career in law.

In 2006, TC graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. While in law school, TC interned with the Internal Revenue Service and received an award from the Taxation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. After earning his Juris Doctor, TC accepted a position as a Tax Technical Associate at Ernst & Young, followed by a position as an associate at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis.

Since founding Newlin Disability, his primary focus has been representing Social Security Disability claimants throughout the United States. Because the disability application process can take years to complete, TC makes it a priority to listen to his clients and ensure they get to tell their story to an actual person who cares about the outcome of their claim.

TC is an accomplished athlete, having completed seven Ironman triathlons. When he’s not helping clients, he loves spending time with his wife, Taleen, his son, Thomas, and his daughter, Talia.
