Social Security Disability Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n These benefits are awarded to United States citizens who have worked long enough\u2014and therefore paid enough into the system through taxes\u2014to be eligible. Each individual must also suffer from a qualifying condition listed in the Social Security Administration (SSA) Blue Book of eligible conditions.
