Getting the public access to information about their Social Security Disability Benefits in a more efficient way has recently become a priority for the Social Security Administration (SSA). While the agency recently released several new options that are available to those with My Social Security Accounts, it was also announced that the SSA has a new mobile site that can be accessed through smartphones.

According to an SSA press release, users searching for the agency on smartphones, like iPhones and Androids, will be automatically redirected to the new mobile site. There, users will be able to access pages about frequently asked questions, data regarding documentation that is needed in order to receive a new Social Security card, and other publications regarding the Social Security Disability system.

The new site also allows users to become connected with the SSA via social networking sites and also has access to information regarding the nearest SSA office for business that cannot be conducted over the Internet or by phone.

The agency’s Acting Commissioner acknowledged how the use of technology to deliver information to the public more efficiently could also help to reduce growing costs the SSA are facing.

The Social Security Disability Attorneys at Newlin Disability appreciate the efforts being made by the SSA to create a smoother benefit process for citizens and are hopeful the changes are effective in making gaining access to benefit information easier.
