William Tanoos

William Tanoos grew up watching his father practice law in Terre Haute, Indiana. He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 2001 and graduated cum laude from Indiana University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science. In 2008, he earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

William became a lawyer so he could help people in need and advocate on behalf of those who are unsure of the legal process or unable to help themselves. He lives in Terre Haute and handles hearings all over the state of Indiana, as well as other various states across the country. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Vigo County/Terre Haute City Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.

Outside of his practice, William is interested in film, and has written several screenplays—including the feature film The Drunk, in which he produced, co-wrote, co-directed, and acted. He also likes to read, exercise, and spend time with friends and family.
